Sandys Designz Affordable Website and eCommerce Store Design

What is Sandys Designz?
Sandys Designz was established in February 2006. I started out selling auction templates to enhance customers listings on eBay. Since then my little business has grown over time. I am 110% dedicated to what I do and my aim has always been quite simple, to provide outstanding customer service and that all my customers go away happy with the service that I have provided throughout their order process.

I am now a freelance web designer who absolutely loves her job! I also enjoy other creative activities, such as learning to draw my own illustrations. I also love reading, family time, interior design and as you carry on reading below you will realise that I am an animal lover, and have a special love for dogs.

Who is behind Sandys Designz?
As you have gathered by now my name is Sandy. I married Ray on the 22nd of August 1998. I am the
proud mum to one gorgeous son who was born on the 27th of January 2000. He's a lovely little boy, (not so little anymore) and the apple of my eye.

I was born and bred in Highbury, Islington, not to far from the old Arsenal football stadium for those of you who know the gunners :) We now live in Hertfordshire.

I am an avid dog lover, I first owned a fur kid when I was 11, my mum finally agreed that I could have a pup, as long as I took full responsibility for it. Judy was a cross Lercher, I loved that dog to bits, and a few years later my sister's dog had pups so I begged and pleaded with mum and that's when Tina, 2nd fur kid came along. Judy and Tina loved one and another, it's a myth that bitches fight, they used to cuddle up to one and another and Judy was like a mum to Tina. The novelty never wore off caring for them, and Judy passed away aged 14 years and Tina 13 years.

When Tina died I was devastated, I had had her from a teenager, by this time I was married and expecting my son. I tried to re-home a rescue dog, however because I was pregnant the rescue centres have a policy on pregnant women and rehoming a dog. That's when Ruby, 3rd fur kid came along, my husband bought her for me, Roobs was a Cavalier King Charles spaniel, and sadly she died on the 11th of October 2010. Ruby was a lovely dog and I will always love and miss her to bits, she had such a great character and was wonderful with children. Ruby has left us with a great void in our lives. Thank you Roobs for 11 wonderful years. I cannot be more thankful to have known you my little fur baby.
If I had my way I would have more dogs, all rescue if possible I can't stand animal cruelty in any way, shape or form.

Since leaving school I worked in retail pharmacy for 15 years. I gave that up to become a full time mum to Jack. Since then I have developed chronic Back problems. After having my 2nd lot of back surgery in 2005 my condition has worsened and have also got osteoarthritis in both knees and my back, so doing this job is a lifeline for me as I couldn't go back to the job I had done for all those years.

Sandy's background
I created my first Auction template in 2006 and the whole process was something I had learned on my own. It wasn't easy and there were times when I wouldn't sleep as I had to have everything perfect. I worked nearly 50 hours a week in the early days. As things progressed, I started creating websites and got better and better and then I was hooked. Most of my sites are designed for artists who create reborn babies. I then got into creating websites for those that wanted to open up their online business venture.
In 2007 I took a big leap and opened my own ecommerce website and made my first attempt at having a steady income. In 2007, my freelance business became my full-time job that I am still enjoying and love today!

Along the way I have made some really good online friends, one of them is Karen from Karenz Designz. Karen has been my customer since day one, starting back in 2006 and I owe a lot to her and her son Sam who at a young age is very talented in web design and always gave me tips and was always at hand when things went wrong.. There were times when I wanted to give up but no, Karen and her Son, Sam got me through. She's a good mate and we gossip on the phone as much as possible...lol..

Web design is very rewarding for me, not just financially but I get a great satisfaction of pleasing others. My portfolio grows by the day and I have had some lovely comments from my customers over the last few years. All my designs are my own ideas.

 Miss you so much Roobs thank you for 11 wonderful years that we had together xx

Hello. I've been expecting you for quite some time.
Here, come sit beside us for a while and let me tell you about this old friend of mine.
She might look tattered or maybe old But I won't say goodbye until you've been told.
She had the brightest eyes I had ever seen,
she wore a beautiful fur coat that would out shine a queen.
She was never prissy but walked with an air ......
And oh so polite, you could take her most anywhere.
She could run like the wind and could catch anything she chased
But she protected and sat with me when I had problems to face.
You could not find a friend nearly so dear.
Because no matter the trouble she always stayed near...
She has never asked for much from me;
Just to love and respect her and I think you'll agree.
To give her a good meal plus a nice warm bed is not much to ask;
When she has given me all her love and to her this was no task.
Now I understand you have a schedule to keep.
But I have a small favour before she nods off to sleep.
Please fold your wings around her and let her feel young while in no pain.
Dear Guardian Angel of Pets, please keep Ruby safe and happy until I see her again. xx
